IBOAI Chairman Bill Hawkins takes the IBOAI’s story to New York
City.

What a welcome by “The City That Never Sleeps”! More than 13,000
IBOs and their guests attended the
National Spotlight
Tour at the
Javits Convention Center in New York City on August 29 and 30,
and the
IBOAI was there to greet them.
Visitors arrived from nearby Queens, Brooklyn, the Bronx, Staten
Island, plus Long Island, New Jersey, and Connecticut, but they also
drove from as far away as Virginia and the Carolinas.
It was a friendly mixture of cultures that greeted their
association warmly, glad to meet staff personally and able to
interact with someone or read IBOAI material in many languages, from
the brochure at the Spotlight, to the association websites, to
answering calls at IBOAI offices.
Breakout sessions were huge this session, seating up to 1,500 plus
overflow into a balcony – with all three sessions, IBOAI Chairman
Bill Hawkins spoke to more than 4,500 IBOs! Then he stopped by
the IBOAI booth to greet attendees and answer questions.
