Today, North American EDC (Executive Diamond Council) members returned to where it all began: Amway Global World Headquarters in Ada, in company with members from the rest of the world. So many people with the shared experience of building a business from nothing to EDC: The same rules, the same plan, the same excitement of achievement. They came to Ada as one to remember.

IBOAI Board Members have been here many times over the years, but for many IBOs from overseas, this is their first visit. The trees along the front have grown tall, the buildings have multiplied and often been updated over the years, and recently the World Headquarters Building was renovated – and was dedicated today. Yet, riding over the hill into Ada and seeing that mile-long complex spread out before you was still a thrilling sight. It’s so big and so full, over the years Amway Global has had to go off-site to expand. IBOs helped build that! It’s there to support them. This accomplishment is part of what EDC celebrated today.

The Corporation really threw out the welcome mat! Thousands of Amway Global employees lined the long road leading to Amway’s entrance, cheering EDC members from North America and around the world. This day, EDC had the run of the complex for tours and shopping and a huge American Picnic on-complex. Members entered the newly renovated World Headquarters, which includes a Welcome Center with a mosaic of co-founders Rich DeVos and the late Jay Van Andel made of hundreds of individual IBO photos. Said Rich DeVos at dedication ceremonies, “Good relationships are the foundation of a solid business.” Happy 50^th anniversary, Amway Global management and employees!

After returning to the Amway Grand Plaza Hotel and JW Marriott in Grand Rapids, EDC members got dressed up in country/western garb for “An Evening at the Ranch” at DeVos Place. This themed dinner set the mood for the evening’s private concert in the Grand Ballroom with LeAnn Rimes. What a memorable way to end the day!

While IBOAI Board Members were in Grand Rapids for the celebration, some stopped by to visit the IBOAI offices.

Saturday and Sunday, it’s a morning of business meetings then getting to know the area Amway Global calls home.
